FAQ - Peltor G22

Q:  CAN I PUT A STICKER ON MY HELMET?

A:  Yes you can, but the sticker should be placed on the lower third of the helmet. A recommendation is that you shouldn’t place stickers on the helmet, because some stickers have a adhesive that could damage the helmet material.

Q:  HOW LONG CAN I USE MY HELMET?

A:  The lifetime of a safety helmet is very hard to define. We say in our user manual that the helmet can be used for 7,000 hours with normal use. Those 7,000 hours are the calculated time for how much UV radiation the helmet can be exposed to before it has to be replaced. You will find more information on ‘lifespan’ in the user manual.

Q:  IF I BUY A NEW VISOR, WILL IT FIT MY OLD HELMET?

A:  Yes, the connection between the visor and the helmet is the same. The visor is attached to the back plate of the hearing protector, which means that you can combine two different Peltor visor systems with three different Peltor helmets.

Q:  WHY DOES PELTOR ONLY PRODUCE HELMETS IN ABS MATERIAL?

A:  We have chosen ABS, because the majority of our helmets are provided with hearing protectors, visors and so on, ABS is a much harder material than polythene (PE). A softer material will affect both quality and comfort in time.
